Teresa J. Morton holds a Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music degrees from Oklahoma City University. She also studied with Donald Neuen at the Eastman School of Music. She served the local church for 27 years as Minister of Music and has a unique understanding of what church music leaders need to produce effective and inspiring worship experiences and concerts. Ms. Morton is an internationally renowned conductor and composer with long-standing involvement with The Feast of Tabernacles celebrations held in Jerusalem, Israel. Her music has been performed in Brazil, Finland, Germany, Australia, Israel and other countries, as well as many venues in the United States. She has worked with artists such as Paul Wilbur, Steve Fry, Noam Buchman, Duo Reim , Dudu Fischer and Florence Birdwell, and was choral director for Hosanna! Integrity’s recording, “Jerusalem Arise.” She played associate principal horn with the Oklahoma Symphony Orchestra and has conducted musical theater, opera, community chorus, as well as her extensive work with adult, youth, children’s and handbell choirs in the local church. Ms. Morton has served as guest clinician for the Central Oklahoma Ringers and Directors Handbell Festival and her handbell choir has been featured on two recordings, Christmas Celebrations and Christmas Celebrations II. Her experience spans a wide set of platforms/genres, giving her great insight into writing for all mediums. In addition to composing and arranging, Ms. Morton teaches voice and piano, accompanies and is available for workshops and clinics.
